Monroe Avenue between Front St. and Main St.

Festival Details

Bardog Tavern, in partnership with Breakaway Running, is thrilled to announce that the 10th Annual Monroe Avenue Festival will be held on August 19, 2018! The former "alley party" is all grown up (70 dog years, now), so this year's event promises to be bigger than ever.

This vibrant community gathering begins with the Breakaway Bardog 5K at 9AM, which takes runners and walkers 3.1 miles through Downtown Memphis’ beautiful Core, South Main, and Riverside districts. The after-race party is followed by live music, local food, an all-day raffle, catered VIP area, craft beer and beverage tent, dunk tank, face painting, Grandma’s Meatball Eating Contest, local celebrities, and more! Over 6,000 people are anticipated to join us this year, and we’re more excited than ever to show all attendees, new and old, the best Monroe Avenue Festival yet.

Highlights include:

  • Improved Main Stage

  • TapBox beverage truck

  • Slider Rider burger truck

  • Streamlined street layout

  • Giant beer pong

  • Social media and advertising outreach, including 350 spots on local radio

This is an outdoor festival consisting of covered and uncovered outdoor areas.
There is NO RAIN DATE. 6,000+ attendees Expected.

Although many of the attendees joining us will be over the age of 21, Bardog Tavern prides itself in creating an inclusive event that all members of the family can enjoy.
